DCIS PTSA supports an amazing group of teachers, staff, and students who all work hard to support our diverse community of underprivileged students. DCIS Baker prepares students for college and careers by developing multilingual, inter-culturally competent citizens who are actively engaged in our rapidly changing world. Our community works tirelessly to make DCIS Baker an award-winning success.

Due to the lower income population of our families, 80% of our students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. This requires the PTSA organization to get creative and work hard, while heavily relying on the generosity of our community, local businesses, and grants to support our initiatives.

Most schools raise 10 – 20 times more than our school, simply by asking Parents to donate. We cannot ask our families for funding when they are already struggling financially. Direct donation to our “pheonix fund” is the best way to give with minimal transaction fees, funds go directly to the PTSA PayPal account.
